This is a bicycle tour to interesting locations in the local township
Take a leisurely bike ride into Kestell's Tlholong township with local tour guide Lolo Moloi.

Tours can be arranged around your specific requirements and interests, but the standard tour takes about two and a half hours and includes:

  • Ride through the old township
  • Visit the 19th Century sandstone church and the pretty historic houses from the same period.
  • Pay a visit to an RDP house. If you are lucky the residents will play the piano for you!
  • Visit a tavern/shebeen for a drink and to join in township merry making!
  • Visit local enterprises such as the clay brickworks
  • Make your last stop the Sangoma (witchdoctor/traditional healer) who will throw the bones and see into your future
Tour starts and ends at Karma Backpackers. The price is R150 per person, bicycles are supplied. Take some money with you to buy a drink or two at the shebeen. If you wish to have a further extended consultation with the traditional healer you may negotiate an additional fee with him.
